Event Details
It's a Halloween event like nothing you've ever experienced. Spirits, Shadows & Secrets returns for a third year on Oct. 30, 2010. Explore the mystical side of Arrow Rock in a tasteful, family-friendly event that has something for Halloween lovers of all ages. Wander through the village (or hitch a ride on the haywagon) to visit your choice of attractions that include:
- Visits with the "spirits" of some of Arrow Rock's most famous (and infamous!) characters.
- True (and almost true) tales woven by professional storytellers.
- Presentations by real-life ghost hunters and paranormal experts.
- S'mores around the campfire.
- Candlelight tours of historic buildings.
- Child-friendly activities at the Old Schoolhouse
- Guided tours of the historic Sappington Cemetery (free Mo-X shuttle transportation will be provided)
- The return (and expansion!) of the spooky, haunted trail
- NEW THIS YEAR! The
Spirits, Shadows & Secrets Jack-O-Lantern Contest. Bring your
carved jack-o-lantern to the event and you could take home some nice
prizes and a year's worth of bragging
rights as a winner in one of these categories: Most Oustanding
Jack-O-Lantern, Most Historical Jack-O-Lantern, Most Hysterical
Jack-O-Lantern, Scariest
Jack-O-Lantern and the Jack-O-Lantern Prodigy Prize (for children 12
and under). Winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m. on the Old
Schoolhouse lawn. Click here for

- NEW THIS YEAR! An
opportunity to participate in a real-life ghost hunt from 9 p.m. to
midnight.
- Plus lots of other fun surprises.
Supper
+ Event Passes and Ghost Hunter Passes must be purchased in advance (no
later than Friday, Oct. 22). See pass descriptions for any
limits and restrictions.
Tickets purchased online will be mailed within 5 days of purchase and will be accompanied by additional event details, parking instructions and "speed pass" wristbands that will allow this year's advance ticketholders to completely bypass the registration table!
